Women in Contemporary Art exhibition showcases prominent contemporary artists. Their work is not just aesthetic explorations but also developments from artists' personal experiences. Often influenced by social and cultural factors these women question visual representation. Participating artists are Ines Katamso, Luh Gede Gita, Nidiya Kusmaya, Nursyifa Salsabila, and Qanisha Agara. The practice of an artist's work finds its momentum of plurality, whether style, technique, choice of material, or aesthetic concepts. In this exhibition, we try to read and see the actualization of traditions from the works of contemporary Indonesian young female artists.

Tara Kasenda (b.1990) Tara is an Indonesian visual artist based in Paris, France. She obtained her Bachelor's degree at the Institute of Technology Bandung, Indonesia, specializing in painting (2013) and her Master of Fine Arts degree in Transdisciplinary New Media from Paris College of Art (2019). Through obscureness and soft pastel hues that ties her work together, she emphasizes the issue of identity, perception, and memory. The dream-like quality of her work simultaneously evokes the feeling of ambiguity, paradox, and comfort.
