FEMALE IN ABSTRACTION
Past exhibition
October, 2016
acrylic and resin on canvas
61 x 61cm
This painting was included in Lost and Found (Place Space and Belonging) exhibition by ISA Art. The painting concentrate on the reflective qualities of water and the way in which it’s movement or disturbance alters the image reflected. Buildings become stretched and distorted, trees unrecognisable, psychedelic and abstract. Thick patches of resin or varnish, across the paintings’ surface gives some feel of the viscous and the liquid. Again this serves to remind of the underlying artificiality of paint and the illusory aspects of straight painting. The paintings have a life of their own.
