"Vinny Castro is a New York based artist, accessory designer, and prop fabricator. Castro
received his BFA in Painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2017 and began producing wearable sculptures while in residence at the Vermont Studio Center, where he was awarded a full fellowship in June of 2019. His collection of sculptural handbags have since been collected worldwide and have been featured in numerous publications and spotted on the likes of Julia Fox, Azealia Banks, EllavEmhoff, Grimes and Lil Miquela. Castro has recently returned to oil painting, where he has been focusing on the transhumanist identity and neo-evolution.
Captures an apparition in flux - transitory stages, life and death, real and unreal, solid and gas, here and nowhere, figurative and abstract A New Era, evolving into a final form, an ultimate boss."
