Trio Muharam Indonesian, b. 1990

Overview

Trio Muharam (born in Bandung, 1990) graduated from the Sekolah Tinggi Seni Indonesia (STSI) Bandung in 2015. He has been involved in several art communities in Bandung, Solo, and Jakarta, and is active as an artist, writer, and curator. As an artist, Muharam is known for his use of various mediums, focusing on material exploration and found objects, giving his works an experimental edge. His approach, combined with everyday perspectives, allows him to uncover overlooked details. He draws inspiration from conceptual art, kinetic art, and new media, which he incorporates into his artistic practice.

Muharam's works have been featured in exhibitions such as In-Between, Cakravala (2021), BIJABA #1, Biennale Jawa Barat (2019), and his solo exhibition Acceptance and Realism in Bandung (2019). As a curator, he has organized several exhibitions, including Anwar Cumin's solo show Boleh Di Grebek in Yogyakarta (2019), the group exhibition Bongkar Gudang in Bandung (2018), and Shofa’s solo show Bunga & Matahari in Solo (2017).
